Our Internship Program is designed to maximize the internship experience through hands-on work, delivery of products and relationship-building with our staff. Description: The Community Forestry & Conservation department is seeking a summer intern. The Woodland Community Forestry Intern will support sustainable forest management and woodland health through fieldwork, research, and assisting in community engagement and education activities. Work areas will include invasive plant management, management activities related to demonstration sites, data collection and entry, and other tasks including but not limited to writing newsletters, assisting in workshops & trainings, attending webinars, and submitting social media posts. The Woodland Community Intern will work closely with other Holden Forests & Garden Departments for large project efforts in Urban Forestry, Conservation, and Research with opportunities for cross-training. This internship will have the opportunity to work closely with other interns in the Community Forestry department. Additionally, all members of the Holden Forests & Gardens’ (HF&G) intern cohort will have the chance to participate in professional development, such as workshops, scientific lectures, networking, and field trip experiences. All interns will have the opportunity to develop and present their research at HF&G’s SEARCH symposium. This position is based at the Holden Arboretum campus in Kirtland, OH with occasional travel to the Cleveland Botanical Garden in Cleveland, OH.

Description: The Quality team is looking for talented future leaders to help drive continued quality improvements in our manufacturing plants. The Quality co-op/intern program helps develop those leaders by providing a fast-paced, hands-on, and varied learning experience. The program provides the opportunity for up to 5 terms rotating across multiple locations that include the Global Headquarters and the North American plants. Students gain experience working across the tire manufacturing process. Students could work on projects with raw materials, rubber compounds, component preparation, tire building, curing, final finish and new product industrialization. The projects require collaboration with various other functions in Goodyear including our Operations and Global Engineering teams. The Quality co-op/intern program provides engineering and science students with the unique and valuable practical experience necessary to understand the quality and manufacturing engineering roles available at Goodyear. The program has proven successful in building a pipeline of candidates for future permanent positions within our manufacturing plant quality teams.

Description: A Summer internship at iDesign will provide real-world experience in the planning and execution of company strategic goals. This internship will allow the candidate to gain in-depth knowledge of iDesign products, exposure to global business practices, the ability to work across other departments and leadership training.

Students will gain an understanding of all departments across multiple channels, how product development effects each department differently, and exposure to day-to-day operations of the consumer goods industry.

This is a hands-on position in which you may work with periodic repairs and to provide technical support and direction to support personnel/skilled trades.
