Description: Interns will contribute to a fast-paced and growing team supporting the technology advancement for the aerospace and defense sector. Interns are expected to learn the ins-and-outs of the team’s daily routines and procedures. Interns would be expected to perform digital engineering, preparing information and research materials, prepare presentations, and attend functions and networking events.


Interns will support Hardware Development, Systems Engineering, DevSecOps, and Test & Evaluation teams for industry-sponsored challenges in projects such as hypersonics and small satellite areas. This includes development of products throughout the engineering development cycle to apply current and further develop engineering skills. Including, not limited to, the development of system/subsystem requirement development, product computer aided model (CAD), computer simulations (structural, fluid, SPICE, circuit), design and test of mixed signal and digital embedded systems, support ranging from schematic capture to PCB development, programing (C, C++, Python, Verilog VHDL), working in Siemens & Unix environments and data analytics, technical drawings & schematics, product troubleshooting, development and review of standard operating and safety procedures.


UTEP Digital Engineering Aerospace and Defense Systems Design Center [DEDC] @ Youngstown is an academic-industry interchange operated by the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Aerospace Center and W. M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation. DEDC is a convergence of immersive project-based learning industry-inspired learning activities, pre-professional experience, informal learning, and just-in-time learning to prepare next-generation aerospace and defense workforce with transformational digital engineering skills. The Design Center fosters a strategic partnership with Aerospace and Defense Contractors, America Makes, Youngstown State University, Western Tech, Youngstown Business Incubator, & El Paso Chamber.

Description: The Library Residency is part of the OhioLINK Luminaries Program and offers hands-on resume building experience in the information studies profession, exploring its purpose, reach and expertise. The OhioLINK Library Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative seeks to create and promote career opportunities in librarianship, information studies, and data sciences to individuals from under-represented populations and economically disadvantaged environments. The Initiative aims to identify and encourage diverse candidates for Ohio’s libraries and library-related industries that are more representative of the state’s population, while also encouraging and supporting efforts towards greater diversity, equity, and inclusion at the library level.
